243 Truck is a 2024 Sutphen SPH 100 equipped with a 100-foot aerial platform capable of performing elevated rescues, ventilation, and master stream fire suppression operations. The platform accommodates up to four firefighters and features two monitor nozzles capable of flowing up to 2,000 gallons of water per minute.
The apparatus is equipped with an electrical hazard detection system that alerts firefighters to nearby energized power lines while operating the aerial device. Carrying an extensive complement of rescue tools, ladders, and firefighting equipment, 243 Truck is prepared for a wide variety of emergency incidents. Measuring just over 48 feet in length and weighing approximately 72,000 pounds, it serves as one of the department’s premier emergency response vehicles.
