243 Rescue Engine is a 2008 Sutphen Monarch designed to serve as both a front-line engine and technical rescue apparatus. Built to handle fire attack, vehicle rescue, rope rescue, and EMS incidents, it carries an extensive inventory of specialized equipment for a variety of emergency situations.
The apparatus is equipped with a 2,000 GPM pump, a 750-gallon water tank, and a scene light tower that provides powerful illumination during nighttime operations. Its combination of firefighting and rescue capabilities makes it one of the department’s most versatile response vehicles.
